Ohhh no again, me vs my weight.

Yay! I finally did it. My day 30th was on Sunday, January 25th. I’ve been doing bikram yoga for almost fur years on and off, and that was actually my first time participating in the challenge and then made it through! I am so happy and so far I just had to do double twice, not bad at all. At the beginning my goal was to come to the class as much as possible, but later on after day 15 I felt that I could make it since it became an addiction.
“Ojek” became the most important tool during my challenge, I could never made it through without it. In fact my “ojek” ride was kind of my warm up for balancing and compression. Imagine that! Thanks to Ojek.
Now, that everything is over, I feel a bit empty, but hey, I’ll continue doing the yoga although it’s not gonna be everyday. Hmm, still don’t believe it that I actually made it.

Happiness is your born right
You are Ma the moon
Accept who you are
Listen to your breath
Know your body
Know what you can
Etc ( I really can’t remember them all)
I heard a lot of those words in the Goddess workshop I participated on Sunday night. Basically it was a Kundalini Yoga practice, yet the last night workshop was designated for women only.
Almost all time we had our eyes closed so that we were only able to focus on ourselves. It was fun coz at the end we had this session to dance following an Indian music rhythms. Our movement while we were dancing was actually to spread the energy all over our body. Yes since it was Kundalini yoga, we talked a lot of energy, mantra and chanting. These are not kind of things that I could find in Bikram yoga.
Above all I had fun though coz it was kind of an intermezzo for my daily routine and a nice way to spend Sunday evening as well.
So, inhale and exhale – listen to your breath.

Last night I joined this workshop with about 15 other women. It was quiet an experience, although it was pretty short. We did some kriya, breathing exercise, meditation and singing. The room smelt flowers from the rose’s petals. We actually lied down on the mat full of petals. Hey, it felt really like a Goddess. The teacher made us to pick our flower and stone; I picked the one who spoke to me
Surprisingly, eventhough it looked very much easy posture to do during the workshop, I got quiet exhausted (in the good way). It is always nice to join this kind of workshop because after that I always felt kinda of relief.

Mony didn’t pay me to write this, yet I have to admit that I got a lot of benefits from this yoga style. First time I joined this class in May 2006 that was a promo of paying half price for unlimited visit in one month. I remember as a first timer in 42 degree room, I thought that was hell would feel. It was so hot. Back then I did the class 4 times a week and amazingly I lost about 7 kilos in a month. Off course I did some diet as well.Unfortunately, after that I only join the packet classes like 20 visits in four months. Still, I think this is the most effective sport I’ve ever done in my life. Well, my body is not that flexible like Mony, yet I manage to do some pose which I thought I would not be able to do it.
Last year, beside the Bikram yoga, I also did some classic hatha yoga in other places. I even did “ The Art of Living Class”. Yet, it was more for the mind rather than sport. That is why until now I still stick on Bikram yoga. Mony even opened other yoga style classes like asthanga and power yoga. I never participated in ashtanga class, but in power yoga.
Similar like Bikram, power yoga is also being conducted in preheated room, yet not as hot as Bikram. There are a lot of movements; you have to do; “sun salutation” before each pose, that…..makes you sweat like hell.
Lately, I have not lost any weight since the portion that I’m doing is more for maintain the weight. Yeah..yeah… .I think I have to start my diet program soon. It’s a long way to go baby.
